Work experience programme
If you’re passionate about television and have bundles of drive and ambition, we’d love to hear from you.
Little Gem is a busy and exciting independent production company – making a wide range of documentaries and television series for broadcasters such as Channel 4, Sky and BBC.
We offer a work experience programme, where, you will spend the week shadowing our production and development teams – meeting top producers, directors, production managers, as well as experiencing what it’s like to work in a television production office. You will gain a first-hand insight into which part of television you might like to pursue a career in.
Dates: This is a one week placement and we have opportunities for you to join us from June 2019 onwards.
Requirements: You must be at least 18 years old and have a passion for all things television. We actively encourage applications from Black, Asian or ethnic minority communities, people with disabilities or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. You must be able to demonstrate a knowledge and passion for all things television and we expect you to have some experience in the field of television production (which can include university, voluntary work, hospital radio, work experience etc)
Expenses: All our opportunities are unwaged but we do pay up to £15 per day for travel and food expenses and candidates are expected to arrange this themselves. We also have a limited number of bursaries available to provide financial support for those that are in genuine need and would be unable to complete one week’s work experience without financial support.
