Little Gem and Twofour’s format, in which the likes of Joey Essex and Lydia Bright take over the running of a luxury Greek hotel, more than doubled E4’s 16-34 slot average.

The opener of the stripped 15-part reality show gave the channel a 9.7% share of the demographic, up from the 4.3% 10pm Monday average.

It delivered an 8.9% share of 16-24 year-olds, almost double the 4.6% slot average and was also a hit with 25-34s, delivering a 10.4% share, up from the typical 4.1%.

Some two-thirds of the audience was female, up from a 60% average, and it delivered more than double ITV2’s typical slot share of all women viewers: 3.6% compared to 1.7%.

It also outstripped E4’s 224,000 (1.5%) slot average, according to Barb data from overnights.tv.
